Cedar Rapids Downtown Kiwanis Club

June 28th,  2006 

The meeting was called to order by President Doug Dix.     32 Members in attendance.

Guests: Angela Burns from RSVP,  Joan Hackburth from Tanager Place and Gary Connors Boe from Four Oaks

Birthdays: Dr. David Graef, D.V.M 

Anniversaries:  Bill Windus 1974 and Richard/Charlene Boardman 2002

Announcements:  Ray Vaughn is recovering at a local hospital.  A $2000 check was presented to Tanager Place and a $2000 check was presented to Four Oaks.  The respective representatives made brief remarks in acceptance of the checks.  It was noted that this was Four Oaks’s birthday too.

Happy Bucks:  Charlene B for her club anniversary, Dan Brietbach for his parents and having just survived a week in LA,  Doug Dix for his 28th wedding anniversary,  Chuck Wehage for his trip to Fargo,  and John Anderson for B17 planes and young eagles.

Next week’s program:  

Speaker:  Kevin Carlson gave a presentation introducing our new website to the club.  Quite impressive.

Word for the day:   Lost but President Dix had to pay
