NEWSLETTER Cedar Rapids Downtown Kiwanis Club Wednesday, November 14, 2007 The meeting was called to order by President Bob Hatala. 27 Members in attendance. Guests: Julie Pulju and John Boardman Birthdays: None Anniversaries: None Announcements: Jeff Hollingsworth says the planned interclub with the Vinton Kiwanians has been postponed. Happy Bucks: Jody Nolte was happy on the occasion of her son’s 12th birthday. Keith Sutherland was happily anticipating a visit to the Tiger Preserve in India in the coming weeks. Trudy Sunderman was happy to see son Ryan speaking at the meeting. Charlene Boardman was just happy to have a great day, and husband Dick was happy to be going home (I think). Ron Sunderman had a long story about his son, leading to his medical career and his visit to the club today. Keith Sutherland had a buck to second the motion. Next week’s program: Speaker: Dr. Ryan Sunderman explained the origins of the specialty of Emergency Medicine, and how he came to embrace it.
