Stop in at her place, the one with the barrels out front, for non-patronizing help in choosing a nice bottle for lunch or dinner. Word for the day: Ficus: A member of a large genus of trees and shrubs so named, belonging to the family Moracceae and widely distributed in warm regions; it includes the fig (Ficus carica) and the rubber plant (F. elastica), a common house plant. Mr. Grimm accepted the answer “Fig tree”. Dan Breitbach burst into a paroxysm of elation, and cast in a late happy buck – this was the first time he ever knew the word for the day Submitted: Chuck Wehage |
