INSTALLATION DINNER MEETING
Clark Alumni House, Coe College

Guests:    20 Members and Guests

Birthdays:  None

Anniversaries:   Eldon Hans and Dan Breitbach

Announcements:  None

Happy BucksThere were a number who were happy and paid for their happiness.  Everyone else was just happy for free.

Next week’s program:  Robb Hogg, Followed by Steven Jackson, who's chairing the county redistricting committee.  Followed by Jim Kern, new executive director at Brucemore

Speaker: The Silver Tones played from 6-6:30 p.m. and provided a wonderful half hour of entertainment.  We had a great buffet dinner following their performance, and then we got about the business of passing the torch from outgoing President, Chuck Wehage, to incoming Kelly Moore.  Chuck gave a brief overview of the year, noting some of the highlights of the shoe and eyeglass programs and the lows – losing three members, John Waggoner, Al Gravelie and Rick Chandler.  He thanked everyone for their support and handed out coffee mementos to his officers and committee chairs.  Byron Taber, Lt. Governor, took over the meeting and gave an update on the district and his plans for the upcoming year.  He then installed the new officers:

President: Kelly Moore
First VP: Bob Hatala
Second VP: Dan Breitbach
Secretary: Sister Charmaine
Treasurer: Gerry Kneeland

And board members:
Katie Hiatt-Braasch
Bob Dye

And thanked retiring board member, Mel Rhodes, for his time and commitment.

Then, he handed the mic over to Kelly Moore who thanked Chuck for his year of service and leadership.  Kelly gave his state-of-the-union address, outlining some of the things he will work on as President, most notably working to increase membership and volunteer opportunities.  Let’s get ready to support him.

Word for the dayDon Grimm was absent and since there wasn’t a word for the day, Dan Breitbach tossed in his definition of Gratitude: being grateful that John Anderson couldn’t come up with anything to fine him this week, thus providing a 2 week reprieve from his evil ways.
